My favorite part of the new budget is off line editing, because it's technically equivalent to peer-to-peer wikis. I'm so glad the pending revisions roll out went well (worth the wait, even!) because the third party operations for pending revisions are very similar to the third party edit conflict resolution necessary for offline editing and p2p wikis. I was worried that whole avenue of research was being neglected, but I tried to push for it as subtly as I could (by putting it in an overly-ambitious California Chapter funding request) and I'm so glad it worked out and filtered through to the hegemony.

There are so many things I want to suggest it is really difficult to gauge when I'm pushing too hard and when I'm not pushing hard enough.

I always hoped that large numbers of small donations could be as effective a way of gaining donations as donations from large foundations but I never had the data to back it up.
